TEC - TORQ EPOXY COMPOSITE Torq Epoxy Composite offers performance shapes in our state of the art epoxy layup. These boards have the best balance between lightness and durability. With our own unique lamination process, we are able to use a very strong fiberglass layup of 6oz and 4oz combined in a 3-ply deck and 2-ply bottom (with a 4-ply rail overlap) with a high density EPS foam, but still achieve a board weight equivalent to a lightweight fiberglass layup. The result is a lightweight but very stable board with good flexing characteristics and, as with all torq's, excellent value for money. TEC SHORTBOARDS: The TEC shortboards have 2 full fiber layers over the top and bottom. On the deck we use an additional 6oz deck patch which adds ding resistance to the triple layer but does not resist flex along the rail. The addition of a carbon filament stringer and a UD carbon strip on the bottom makes these super springy and responsive. TEC MID-LENGTH The Torq TEC Mid-Lengths feature carbon stringers in the deck and base for a new level of torsional strength. Combined with a 6+6+4oz deck and 6+4oz base, these boards are incredibly stable, light and responsive. LONGBOARD CONSTRUCTION For lengths 8'6 and up we have introduced a T-Stringer and Carbon Stringer in the deck and base for a new level of torsional strength. Torq longboard technology is incredibly stable, light and responsive. With 3 layers of glass on the deck and 2 layers on the base, these are super strong, light and feel fast under your feet. Our fin system was developed by Futures Fins from California - one of the most renowned fin systems in the world.
